General & Family Consults

For all men’s, women’s and children’s health. From diagnosis to on-going and preventative care with your Doctor. You will also be supported by our nursing team.

Kai a te Mata Marae Clinic

This FREE clinic is held every Thursday morning from 9am to 12 noon for the Kai a te Mata Marae. Dr Michel Arnephy or Dr Dominique Hite are the general practitioners and nurse Christina is available also.

Chronic Care & Palliative Care

We have dedicated clinics for managing diabetes, chronic obstructive airway disease (COAD), asthma and other chronic illnesses that will require on-going care and monitoring.

We provide palliative care and have dedicated nurses to support patient and families.

Minor Surgery & Procedures

Skin Lesions: We remove suspicious skin lesion’s in our purpose built procedure room. We have a dermatoscope to help diagnose early signs of skin cancer and lesions for removal.

Mirena IUD: Insertion and removal of a Mirena IUD can be done here by a GP.  In most cases the procedure will be funded.  Please book an appointment for an assessment  with your GP here first.

Jadelle Contraceptive Implant:  Insertion and removal of the implant can be done here by a GP.  In most cases the procedure will be funded.  Please book an appointment for an assessment with your GP here first.

Nurse Prescriber Clinics

Our skilled and friendly nurse prescribers are available every day.  They can see and treat a range of minor illnesses such as:

  • Coughs, cold, sinus or a sore throat that is not going away
  • Urinary tract infection
  • Eczema, a skin rash or sores
  • Conjunctivitis or a stye

Diabetes Clinic

FREE annual reviews. Our patients will receive a reminder if they are due for their review. Follow up care, monitoring, education and advice are readily available from our qualified diabetes nurses.  Referral for further support for lifestyle changes can be made for those who want it.

Ear Microscope & Suction

Available to all patients, you don’t need to be enrolled with us to book your appointment.

Our nurses have had training in ear specialty and can diagnose and treat many ear issues.  They will examine your ear using the microscope and complete the suction.  This is available Monday to Friday. You will receive ear health education and advice during your consult.  We have a Nurse experienced in a ear specialty available on a Wednesday and she can complete even the most challenging ears.

Cervical Smears/HPV Swab

Our patients will receive a reminder if they are due for their scheduled HPV swab or cervical smear. Some will qualify for a free test.  If you are eligible for an HPV swab you can do this yourself in clinic as part of your consult with the nurse.

Sexual Health, Contraception &
Pregnancy Tests

FREE for patients under 25 years old. Book an appointment in the nurse clinic or with one of our Nurse prescribers who can complete tests, education and advice in a confidential and comfortable setting.

Immunisations – Children & Adults

We provide immunisations for adults and children. Childhood immunisations are FREE and due at 6 weeks, 3, 5, 12, 15 months, and 4 years.  School vaccinations start from 9 years. We send reminders and recommend vaccinating on time.  Our Nurses are independent authorised vaccinators and can answer any of your queries about childhood or adult immunisations before, during or after.

B4School Checks

A well child check at 4 years old to check your child is fit and healthy before the first day of school.  An invite will be sent to our parents/guardians to make an appointment. The appointment is around a hour long and is the perfect opportunity to check on your 4 year olds development and important milestones.  There is a special box of fun items that is given to your 4-year old at the end of the check.

What if I want to give feedback or make a complaint?

We welcome any feedback you have for us.  Suggestions or kind words are always appreciated.  If you want to complain about something we want to hear about it. Please put the details in writing, email pm@mormc.co.nz  or call and ask to speak to the practice manager.

How do I enroll with MyIndici patient portal?

You will need to come into the Reception desk and bring your drivers licence or photo ID with you.  You will also need to have your own email address that has not been used for anyone else registered with MyIndici.

Who should I book my appointment with, a GP or a Nurse?

Book with the Nurse or Nurse Prescriber if you have:

  • Cough, cold, sinus or sore throat that is not going away
  • Urinary tract infection
  • Eczema, a skin rash or sores
  • Conjunctivitis

Most other illness, injuries or medication check-ups will need a GP appointment.  If you needs a drivers licence medical please book with the GP.

What if there are no appointments available?

If you are acutely unwell and feel you need to be seen the same day please advise Reception when you call and they will arrange for a Nurse to speak to you and triage for an urgent appointment.

Do I have to make an appointment?

Yes, in most cases unless you have been previously advised by us that you don’t.  Always try to ring us first.

Can a clinician travel to my home to see me?

House visits can be arranged by the Nurse or GP for appropriate patient circumstances.
