Enrolling with us

We welcome new patients who are living in the Morrinsville or surrounding area to enrol with us.  Enrolling with us has many benefits including access to:

  • Quality preventative and on-going health care for all ages and stages
  • Cheaper patient fees than a casual patient

You can only be enrolled with one Practice and should only enrol if you intend to be with us for all your ongoing primary health care. Enrolling with us will cancel your enrollment at your previous practice.

Repeat Prescriptions through MyIndici

If you have registered for MyIndici, log into the patient portal to complete your request. If you would like to register for MyIndici patient portal please contact us

Repeat Prescription Procedure for enrolled patients

We require 24 hours notice for your repeat prescription to be completed.

When you request your prescription, please make sure you have enough medication to last another week or two. Patients wanting to request a repeat prescription should telephone the Nurse or enquire at Reception in person with their list of medications. Repeat Prescriptions are only available if the medication has been previously prescribed by one of our Doctors for a stable condition.

Your prescription can be collected from the front desk or can be emailed directly to the Pharmacy of your choice. Please clearly state which Pharmacy you would like it emailed to.

Test Results

Unless you have been advised otherwise, your results will be available to your doctor usually within a couple of days of the test, x-ray or scan being done. If there is anything that needs to be followed up, the doctor or practice nurse will contact you directly. If you are not contacted but would like to know the results please phone 07 889 5126 and select option 3 to speak with the nurse. Leave a message and your call will be returned as soon as possible, usually at the end of that day or the following day.

Do I have to make an appointment?

Yes, in most cases unless you have been previously advised by us that you don’t.  Always try to ring us first.

What if there are no appointments available?

If you are acutely unwell and feel you need to be seen the same day please advise Reception when you call and they will arrange for a Nurse to speak to you and triage for an urgent appointment.

Who should I book my appointment with, a GP or a Nurse?

Book with the Nurse or Nurse Prescriber if you have:

  • Cough, cold, sinus or sore throat that is not going away
  • Urinary tract infection
  • Eczema, a skin rash or sores
  • Conjunctivitis

Most other illness, injuries or medication check-ups will need a GP appointment.  If you needs a drivers licence medical please book with the GP.

How do I enroll with MyIndici patient portal?

You will need to come into the Reception desk and bring your drivers licence or photo ID with you.  You will also need to have your own email address that has not been used for anyone else registered with MyIndici.

How long is a standard consultation?

A standard GP consult is up to 15 minutes long.  If you feel you need a longer appointment or have multiple issues that you want to address in your consult with the GP, please request a double appointment.  Double appointment fees will apply.

Where do I go if I need medical attention after hours?

Anglesea Clinic in Hamilton is our after hours provider for in person consults.  Ka ora Telecare is available for after hours triage and virtual appointment bookings 0800 252 672

Who will I see if my GP is away?

We have several GP’s here who will cover each others patients if they are on leave.  There will still be a GP available to see you and your health record.

Can a clinician travel to my home to see me?

House visits can be arranged by the Nurse or GP for appropriate patient circumstances.

What if I want to give feedback or make a complaint?

We welcome any feedback you have for us.  Suggestions or kind words are always appreciated.  If you want to complain about something we want to hear about it. Please put the details in writing, email pm@mormc.co.nz  or call and ask to speak to the practice manager.
